It's was so interesting and even breathtaking to learn how many similarities there are when it comes to a deep traditional layer of understanding birth and the ways to support women in the process in different cultures.

Women are giving birth for ages and it's always has been a very special, sacred, intimate event for the family. And it's always been someone special chosen by the families in the community to provide birth support and to keep and pass along to the next generation the knowledge and the wisdom about Birth and about the art of Birth Attending.

These were the wise women, the healers, the birth keepers, the midwifes that truly served the women and the community. Things have changed. Now midwifes are mostly serving the Medical Industrial Complex and doctors are in the most power. I stand for giving the power to the women in pregnancy and birth and let them to decide who do they want to be with them on this journey, choose their environment to make their Dream Birth come true.

As a traditional birth attendant I respect and practice the deep ancestral knowledge about birth shaping it for your individual needs as a modern woman. I see birth as a Rite of Passage and offer you my holistic, knowledgeable, respectful attendance where you and your baby are the center of my care and support.
